I’m a sales administrator at the Distribution Center in Langenhagen. My main tasks involve handling spare parts offers and orders, and also invoicing and reporting. I work closely with the central parts centers in Finland and France, and I’m also the initial spare parts contact for Konecranes branches in Germany. Much of the time the need is urgent, and it is a great motivator to get the right part delivered ASAP – whether the need arises from one our branches or from a customer.
I like the way we don’t limit ourselves to thinking only about our equipment and services, but also think actively about improving business for our customers. Flexibility and a service attitude take you a long way, but it is important to have values. In this regard, I appreciate how we are given opportunities to develop our skills and grow. The focus is not just on customer satisfaction, but also on individual employees.
I started as a temporary employee but then my boss called on my birthday and offered a permanent position. Needless to say, it was the best birthday gift ever. I’m still quite young but Konecranes has really opened up my eyes. There is an unbelievable amount of opportunities to rotate to other jobs and I personally hope to get an opportunity to collect some international experience – and spend a longer period abroad for Konecranes. It’s great working for a company that prospers.
